All of the Tetra^R Gun care lubricant-themed products feature the company’s famous fluoropolymer additive technology, based on the original 1985 synthetic gun lubricant patent, whether it be the well-known white grease, lubricant oil, Triple Action^TM CLP liquid, lubricating wipes or gun spray.

Action Blaster^TM is the cleaner degreaser aerosol formula that provides the cleaning ability to remove fouling from gunmetal. The original, stronger formula has been replaced with the synthetic safe Action Blaster^TM II product. There is no lubricant in this mix. Pure cleaner – only the “C”.

In a similar way, Tetra^R Gun’s original Tetra Gun Spray has been replaced with the Tetra Gun Spray II or Triple Action^TM products, which are essentially the same. This product is essentially a CLP (cleaner, lubricant, protectant), combining the cleaning performance, followed by surface lubrication and protection. The corrosion inhibitor used is proven exception in U.S. Navy applications. What is unique about this lube spray is that it doesn’t have an oily finish, which many people like.

All of the Tetra Gun care lubricant options deliver the performance the gun owner user community needs. You can either go with the CLP, or the C+CLP route in maintaining your guns. In other words, you use the all-in-one product, or you take the time to clean, and the lubricate and protect.

You get the CLP effect with the Triple Action aerosol mentioned above, as well as with the Triple Action liquid and the Lubricating Wipes products, which are based on the original Mil-Spec formulation.

As opposed to other product brands, some could be considered similar, but Tetra brand falls under the heading synthetic, and fluoropolymer, the point being that you get best results from a product that provides a barrier between two surfaces of gunmetal to minimize friction and prevent wear, and operational failure so that you can maintain a firearm in fire-ready condition.

The alternative is a bunch of mostly solvent-based petroleum oil products that simply don’t hold up. You can be comfortable with fumes from one of these products you may have used over the years, or you can think that better products are nothing but hype, not necessary or no better than a lube formula designed for an auto engine or something else, but there is thought, testing and proof behind our technology, and those of similar products. However, our products are not overpriced. That is another consideration. If you follow the directions, you will be pleased with the results.

The other consideration is outside expertise. Many of the firearm manufacturers out there privately use better lubricants in production and service while being very careful as not to tell the public that their hardware needs anything special to run. We all understand the ego factor.
