Tetra Gun’s Carbon Cleaner foaming bore aerosol is made to attack carbon fouling embedded under gunmetal surfaces. Just apply with a brush if cotton patches aren’t enough. Spray and let sit for a while, and then clean off. You should be able to lift powder residue right off.
