Gun Wipes of many Types

The most recognized Tetra Gun wipe product is the one called Lubricating Wipes, which is a compact box of towelettes soaked in the company’s Triple Action brand CLP formula – so yes, it cleans, lubricates and protects. This gun wipe is most commonly used to wipe down gunmetal parts after a shoot, whether it be at the range or in the field.

The sister product are the Tetra Gun Carbon Cleaner wipes, which is a cleaner formula designed to lift carbon fouling off of rimfire gun metal and nearby surfaces that get covered in residue. Black powder is another niche that will benefit from this product.

Then, there is the Lead Removal wipe product, a single dry wipe that is impregnated with a chemical treatment that’s also designed to remove surface buildup. It has been around for many years and is appreciated by experienced hunters and sport shooters alike.

The other popular gun wipe product is the silicone cloth, which is intended for wiping down the outside of a firearm, usually long guns. Not only does it provide a preservative quality, but it adds luster if not shine to a rifle or shotgun exterior. In general, it is more of a cosmetic product.

Most recently, Tetra Gun added the Hands On Lead Removal Cloth, a dermal product used to clean one’s hands after range time, or after a hunt. These single-one towelettes are convenient and take up minimal space in your range bag or your pocket. This is an important personal safety item that many overlook. And, you can minimize the affect of gunpowder residue fingerprints. Don’t make a mess.
