Hunting & Fishing Crossover

It isn’t a coincidence that there are many hunting and fishing stores out there. Many of their customers are both active hunters and fishermen. In both cases, these are outdoor sportsmen, right? Hunting and fishing are natural parallel interests. However, it’s not necessarily the same person as hikers or kayakers, unless of course, they are kayak fishing. Ha. Even chain stores understand this even if their hearts aren’t in sportsmen’s rights so much as profiteering off of second amendment supporters.

Being a hunter gatherer isn’t for everyone, and that’s fine, but this is at the heart of the American experience, not to mention cultures worldwide. Unfortunately, not everybody agrees and takes it as far as trying to morally judge those who would catch their own dinner. Needless to say, vegetarians and other alternative views on many topics are outspoken and don’t mind if they impose their will on others. Well, that doesn’t fly in a free society. So, the very act of hunting and fishing is in itself making a statement about free will and exercising the freedom’s that we have. I am sure large food corporations have their hand in such protests.

For the most part, there are abundances of deer and fish in the sea, but it is the agenda of opposition to create a perception that this is not the case, and that the feelings of a bass are more importantly than feeding one’s family. This is a strange reality which we are used to now, but it isn’t without merit. There are some threats to fisheries, for example, so the liberal-created term “sustainable fisheries” isn’t completely untrue, but commercial fishing is mostly responsible and due to a strong corporate lobby, continues to farm without planting seeds. More food sources need to be made available to all of us. Corporations shouldn’t have rights to our natural resources. Not at the expense of taxpaying Americans.

My overall point is really about unity. Hunters and sport shooters and fisherman and boaters as well (not sailors, lol) are part of the same cloth, wanting to live free and enjoy the access to the outdoors that was granted to all American people under the Constitutional among the Bill of Rights. It said nothing about banning lead fishing sinkers or bullets.
