Celebrating the 4th of July in the United States is not only an American phenomenon because the ripple effect is global as an expression of individual freedom and the spirit of individuality that sets an example for the many.

Fireworks notwithstanding this holiday for America and the American people is a very positive thing. Often, we also associate the celebration of July 4 with firearms because that is another way to exercise one’s liberties.

Everybody who believes in the United States should support the second amendment even if they choose that owning a gun or shooting guns isn’t for them. Those are two different things. It is important for people to think about that and other things that contribute to the deeper meaning of personal liberty.
