After that, you can apply Tetra Gun Liquid Blue to coat the gunmetal with a consistent bluing. You can use up to 7 dips / coating before your gradations finally get to black. Follow that up with gun spray to stop the chemical reaction and since off with water.

Cold blue is not going to match the potential of hot bluing but you do want to choose the right product, and follow application instructions. Even then, you need to take care and show off your skills and your patience.
