I have witnessed at least a few decades of evolution in the shooting sports industry, specifically as it centers are gun care. I can try to count the endless brands that have come and gone, including some that were household names for so many years, not to mention the changes in ownership of some of these companies that come to mind. Ones that make gun cleaning solvents, gun lube and firearm maintenance accessories.

Few if any stick. Many are just labels on bottles that mean little more beyond the interest names that might be given to them, and then, there are the special ones. The real product. The unique ones. The products that can make a measurable difference. Not so much for the ordinary choices that were just transient, to put it nicely.

As somebody told me many years ago, anyone can be suckered into trying something once (and many do) but a product has to impress for someone to come back the second time to pay for it. As it turns out, there are even some gun owners out there who will never stop searching in the desert, looking for that CLP oasis, or something like that. Good luck.
